Notes RMN Bellerophon-class DN-grade sidewall generator mounted for “bow wall” projection. Sidewalls equivalent to RMN Star Knight-class CA.
The Peregrine is designed specifically to inflict maximum possible damage in energy-range attacks against an opponent’s screening elements, with a heavy graser capable of penetrating CA-grade sidewalls at ranges of up to 500km or BC-grade screens at more than 300km. The graser is built with a unique set of “grav mirrors” that allow the normally 250-meter-long lasing tube to be bent back on itself and thus fit into the 90-meter length available to it. The volume freed up by removing two of the Shrike-class PCL’s normal four launchers is used to increase the magazine loads of the forward countermissile launchers by 50% as well as to mount the additional superconducting capacitors needed to provide power to the graser itself. The Peregrine can fire its graser at full power for a maximum of five shots or “step down” the power to a level equal to that of the 150cm Shrike graser, for a total of 30 shots at that power level.
