Xuerui Wang is currently a Scientist at
Yahoo! Labs, working on machine learning for online advertising.
In the early 2000's, he was a Research Scientist at UtopiaCompression Corporation.
Wang got his Ph.D. in Computer Science at University of Massachusetts, Amherst,
advised by Prof.
Andrew McCallum. During his Ph.D. studies, Wang worked on structured topic models on text and its accommpanying modalities. He also holds an M.S. in Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (advised by
Prof. Tom
Mitchell) from Carnegie Mellon
University, an M.E. in Control Theory and Its Application (advised by Prof. Wenhuang Liu), and a B.E. in Automation from Tsinghua University.
