My after-college career started as a PhD student in Computer Science Department at CMU. My PhD work is centered on exploring new routing infrastructure to make tomorrow's networks more robust and easier to manage. My advisor is Prof Hui Zhang.
In 2008, I took a leave from the graduate program to work for Facebook, where I worked on a variety of projects including stream search back-end, instant search back-end, ads topics targeting, mobile app install ads, and social graph ranking infrastructure.
In 2010, I finished my thesis while working as a software engineer and received a PhD degree in Computer Science.
In 2013, I joined Google to work on search infrastructure.
In 2014, I returned to Facebook to lead the Video Ads project.
In 2015, I started to lead the Facebook News Feed Ads team.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing high-frequency-trading programs and I won the grand prize of DRW Algorithmic Trading Competition in 2008.
