Ajisai(EGP) 16908

2002/3/6 19:55 EST This satellite flares a lot! Although the flashes were hard to see without optical aid, they were easy in binoculars. Again I didn't see the satellite itself, but the white flashes were of about magnitude 5. The main pattern is "flash flash flash pause" which takes 2 seconds, and repeats itself over and over again. Sometime however multiple very short flashes happen in a very brief time. Following its trajectory across the sky, I must have seen hundreds of flashes. Very interesting.
