Sketch, 2000/3/5, with 8" Dobsonian, 25mm eyepiece. 1 degree field of view. Observed from Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh. M65 is the one to the bottom-left of the center. Very faint, hard to see. Narrow and long, larger than M66, no bright nucleus, less condensation than M66. M66 is the top-right one. Also very faint. It has a bright nucleus. Narrower and smaller than M65. Moderate condensation towards the nucleus.
