2003/10/10 17:45 EDT. The blue triangular shadow of Mt. Washington, the highest peak in NH, projects onto the hills to its east. The triangular shape is due to perspective. A few minutes later the shadow would have been onto the atmosphere and became more spectacular. Unfortunately we had to get off the peak in a hurry since the auto road was closing.
