This Lego figure is actually a housing for a basic pencil sharpener. You remove the head to sharpen your pencil and then take the legs off to empty the shavings. The most difficult part of this project was creating each individual part and having them all assemble together well. The arms were the most complicated piece, and it required several different planes and two different lofts to get the change in widths from the upper arm to the elbow. To model each part, an image of the original patent for the Lego mini figure was used as reference. Getting the pieces to fit together was a matter of defining certain measurements that needed to match.
