Martha Cryan: Kazoo

My project’s main function is as a kazoo, the common children’s toy / instrument that generates a fun noise when you hum into it. To supplement and accessorize my 3d-printed kazoo, I added wings (laser cut acrylic) that were drawn in Adobe Illustrator then converted to dxf files, as well as wheels (also laser cut acrylic) that were created in solidworks so that more precise dimensions could be used for the size of the wheel’s features. I added tape to the wheels to increase traction, and hot glued everything together. The sound-making piece on the top is taken from a store-bought kazoo.
