Engineers in public service as members, advisors or employees of a governmental or quasi-governmental body or department shall not participate in decisions with respect to professional services solicited or provided by them or their organizations in private or public engineering practice.

Code is relevant when:
Engineer is in public service as a member of a governmental or quasi-governmental body
Code is violated when:
Engineer participates in decisions with respect to professional services he solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
OR
Engineer participates in decisions with respect to professional services his organization solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not participate in decisions with respect to professional services he solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
AND
Engineer does not participate in decisions with respect to professional services his organization solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice

Code is relevant when:
Engineer is in public service as an advisor to a governmental or quasi-governmental body
Code is violated when:
Engineer participates in decisions with respect to professional services he solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
OR
Engineer participates in decisions with respect to professional services his organization solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not participate in decisions with respect to professional services he solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
AND
Engineer does not participate in decisions with respect to professional services his organization solicited or provided in private or public engineering practice
