Code is relevant when:

Engineer performs action related to the interest of the engineering profession

Code is violated when:

Engineer's action promotes his own interest at the expense of the dignity and integrity of the profession

Code is not violated when

Engineer's action does not promote his own interest at the expense of the dignity and integrity of the profession
