Engineers, before undertaking work for others in connection with
which the Engineer may make improvements, plans, designs, inventions, or
other records which may justify copyrights or patents, should enter into
a positive agreement regarding ownership.

- Code is violated when:
- Engineer does not enter into a positive agreement regarding ownership of improvements

Engineer does not enter into a positive agreement regarding ownership of plans
OR
Engineer does not enter into a positive agreement regarding ownership of designs
OR
Engineer does not enter into a positive agreement regarding ownership of inventions
OR
Engineer does not enter into a positive agreement regarding ownership of other records
- Code is not violated when
- Engineer enters into a positive agreement regarding ownership of improvements
AND
Engineer enters into a positive agreement regarding ownership of plans
AND
Engineer enters into a positive agreement regarding ownership of designs
AND
Engineer enters into a positive agreement regarding ownership of inventions
AND
Engineer enters into a positive agreement regarding ownership of other records
