Engineers shall not complete, sign or seal plans and/or specifications that are not of a design safe to the public health and welfare and in conformity with accepted engineering standards. If the client or employer insists on such unprofessional conduct, they shall notify the proper authorities and withdraw from further service on the project.

III.2.b. Part 1

Code is relevant when:
Engineer completes, signs or seals plans and/or specifications.
Code is violated when:
The plans and/or specifications are not of a design safe to the public health and welfare
OR
The plans and/or specifications are not in conformity with accepted standards
Code is not violated when
The plans and/or specifications are of a design safe to the public health and welfare
AND
The plans and/or specifications are in conformity with accepted standards

III.2.b. Part 2

Code is relevant when:
Engineer has a client
AND
The client insists that the Engineer completes, signs or seals plans and/or specifications
AND
The plans and/or specifications are not safe for public health and welfare
Code is violated when:
Engineer does not notify the proper authorities
OR
Engineer does not withdraw from further service on the project
Code is not violated when
Engineer notifies the proper authorities
AND
Engineer withdraws from further service on the project

III.2.b. Part 3

Code is relevant when:
Engineer has an employer
AND
The employer insists that the Engineer completes, signs or seals plans and/or specifications
AND
The plans and/or specifications are not safe for public health and welfare
Code is violated when:
Engineer does not notify the proper authorities
OR
Engineer does not withdraw from further service on the project
Code is not violated when
Engineer notifies the proper authorities
AND
Engineer withdraws from further service on the project
