attempting to obtain employment or advancement or professional
engagements by taking advantage of a salaried position, by criticizing
other engineers, or by other improper or questionable methods.

- Code is violated when:
- Engineer competes unfairly by criticizing other engineers
OR
Engineer competes unfairly by other improper or questionable methods
- Code is not violated when
- Engineer does not compete unfairly by criticizing other engineers
AND
Engineer does not compete unfairly by other improper or questionable methods

- Code is relevant when:
- Engineer competes with another engineer or engineers for employment, advancement, or professional engagement
AND
Engineer has an employer
- Code is violated when:
- Engineer competes unfairly by taking advantage of his salaried position
- Code is not violated when
- Engineer does not compete unfairly by taking advantage of his salaried position
