III.8.a.

Engineers in private practice shall not review the work of another engineer for the same client, except with the knowledge of such engineer, or unless the connection of such engineer with the work has been terminated.

Code is relevant when:

Engineer is in private practice
AND
Engineer reviews the work of another engineer for the same client

Code is violated when:

The other engineer does not have knowledge of the review
AND
The other engineer's work for the client has not concluded

Code is not violated when

The other engineer has knowledge of the review
OR
The other engineer's work for the client is concluded
