Engineers shall not use association with a nonengineer, a corporation, or partnership as a "cloak" for unethical acts, but must accept personal responsibility for all professional acts.

Code is relevant when:
Engineer is associated with a nonengineer
Code is violated when:
Engineer uses his association as a "cloak" for unethical acts
OR
Engineer does not accept personal responsibility for his professional activities
Code is not violated when
Engineer does not use his association as a "cloak" for unethical acts
AND
Engineer accepts personal responsibility for his professional activities

Engineer is associated with a corporation
Code is violated when:
Engineer uses his association as a "cloak" for unethical acts
OR
Engineer does not accept personal responsibility for his professional activities
Code is not violated when
