Ma is a butoh dance performance with video, sound, and interactive media. Diana Garcia-Snyder choreographed this piece integrating a video work, an interactive audiovisual space, and an interactive visualization app developed by Craig and Kang. It was performed at the Velocity Dance Center in Seattle. The performance space was divided into two spaces. The first was a typical amphitheater, the second was a much smaller room. The audience first sat in the amphitheater and then were invited to the other chamber to watch and experience the interactive audiovisual space hidden behind the door of back stage.
