Wednesday, February 19. Went to Soba, 12:30-1:00. $3 cover.

Soba is really a 'Lounge', more than a danceclub. The dance floor is on the third floor; the other floors are occupied with intimate little arrangements of chairs and whatnot. The dance floor is pretty darn small.

The good side was that they were playing really good house music. The down side was that the dance floor was really crowded. I talked to the bouncer, who said that it gets that busy by 10:30 or 11 on Wednesday nights, and is twice as busy on Friday and Saturday. Eek. I won't be going there on a weekend.

The crowd was somewhat older and more yuppie than at Upstage or Metropol--my sterotype would be that most of these people are out of college and now working yuppie jobs. Still some decent eye-candy, though.

I was somewhat tired beforehand, which helped justify my leaving early.
