Finally found some time to add photos from previous travels.
In April 2008 I went to St.Louis, Missouri, USA to visit the HSCC. I came there without any real plan how to get to my hotel. I got lucky and met a really nice women on the plane. Her husband was picking her up on the airport and the two dropped me off at my hotel. That was great as I had to find out that my hotel was indeed several miles away from the airport.
My hotel room was right next to the famous Arch. The conference to place in the convention center, downtown. I stayed a few blocks away in the Crowne Plaza. It was a nice room within walking distance to the conference venue.
I arrived a day before the conference so I had some to time to look around. Walking around in downtown I was stunned by the dimensions of most of the buildings. A few station by tram I was able to reach a really nice park, the Forest Park. It featured some museums and zoo, all free of charge. Spring just started in the region so the flowers all over the place looked really nice as well.
After the conference, I rented a car (Dodge Avanger) and drove around a bit. It was interesting to see more of the city although some parts looked quite scary. I also was able to reach the botanical garden which is a really great place to go at that time of the year.
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to St.Louis.
