PortMusic was created to extend the efforts of
PortAudio into a broad
collection of portable API's for music systems. The most sucessful
branch of PortMusic has been
PortMidi, currently
hosted on GitHub.
Other components, which are not actively maintained, are
- Scorealign,
a library and application for audio-to-audio or audio-to-midi score
alignment, and
- PortSMF, a
library for symbolic score and MIDI sequence representation. (PortSMF
is used in Audacity,
which is in production and active
development, and sources there might include some updates.)
