2004 GSA Volleyball Final Tournament

Rules

Special Tournament Scoring!!!

The first two games will be to TWENTY-FIVE (25) points. You must win by two points, and there is no cap (i.e. no limit to the score). Notice that this is different from our games during the year, where we played to 21, with a cap at 23.
All matches are best two out of three. If a team wins the first two games, you do not need to play a third
IF a THIRD GAME is needed, that game is the best to FIFTEEN (15) points. Once again, there is no cap (i.e. no limit to the score) and you must win by 2 points.

Punctuality

Please be on time and start promtly! It's possible that games will slip in the schedule a bit if matches run long, so please be accomodating. If a match before yours runs long, you must stay and be ready to play as soon as the previous match is over.
MAKE YOUR PLAYERS COME EARLY.

My Rule Is Law

I am eager for things to go smoothly. But if some horrible thing comes up I will try to make an appropriately fair decision and I ask you all to abide by it. Unfortunately, I am out of town on 4/25. Kevin Bowers will be responsible and in charge on that day. His rule is law then.

Rewards

The winning team from each division will receive fabulous IM T-shirts.

Schedule

The tournament will run over 2 weekends of 4/18 and 4/25. You may have multiple games in a single weekend. The exact schedule is below.
Note that I will fill in the seeding once the final games of the regular season have been completed.

Seeding

The seeds are determined with the following method:

For each division, only the games against teams in that division are considered.
Teams are first ranked by winning percentage.
The next ranking is one mean score difference per game.

The seeds are taken from the per division rankings show on the rankings page
