DESCRIPTION
|
This
frog is made of a hard transparent plastic that has the slightest tint of green
in it. Having the frog be transparent
allows for the user to see the inner-workings of the frog. When the frog’s knob is pushed down, a
stamp effect occurs. Inside the belly
of the frog is a popper, which is attached to the knob. The knob works like a stamp in that as the
knob is pushed down the popper becomes inverted. As this process proceeds, the belly of the frog is pulled open
so that the popper may sit directly on a hard firm surface. The LED bulbs, which are powered by a
small battery located in the rear of the toy, light up at this instant as
well. Once the stamp has clicked in
place, the LED bulbs remain on and the belly remains open until the force of
the popper against the hard surface, trying to revert back to its original
shape, causes the frog to jump, the bulbs to go off, and the belly to
close. |
COST AND DURABILITY
|
Cost
for this product ranges anywhere from 12-16 dollars mostly due to its
intricate design. Due to the outer
layer of the frog being made of transparent green plastic, the toy should be
fit for continual usage and abuse.
The popper is also made of a thick material, which allows for its
durability. The battery can easily be
replaced due to its location in the rear of the frog (because the battery
will not be in constant use, it should last for at least a year). |
SAFETY
|
With
this toy, there are no small removable parts or toxic components that a child
can consume. Battery leakage,
however, should be taken into consideration. |
