Jumping Ball
Description:
- Children will push the button/jumper, and after a delay the button will pop out and the ball will jump up
- Principles: potential energy, Newton's 3rd Law (action/reaction)
- The cost of constructing this toy will be cheap as it will only need a mold for the rubber outside, a time release mechanism, and a few gears.
- This will be a durable toy as the moving parts are inside, therefore children will not be able to accidentaly break it. The internal parts will be made so that they can take vibrations (so that it won't get damaged when boucing)
- This is about as safe as a normal bouncy ball. One disadvantage is if the ball tilts before it jumps it could potentially hit the child in the face (but this danger is also present in normal bouncy balls)
- Ages 4 and up
