Wenting Ye is currently a first-year master student in computational data science (MCDS) in School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He graduated from School of Computer Science, Beijing Univ. of Posts & Telecom., with three stright National Scholarships.
From Oct. 2016 to Oct. 2017, he worked with Haohan Wang, a Ph.D. candidate at Language Technologies Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, researching genetic association with confounding factors. In 2017 summer, he had a fantastic summer internship mentored by Prof. Eric P. Xing and Haohan Wang, aiming at building a genetic association database using deep reinforcement learning. After returning to China, He joined the Toutiao AI Lab as a Machine Leanring Intern, working with Dr. Zehuan Yuan to investigate how to efficiently model the spatio-temporal information for Action Detection.
His main research interests include but are not limited to machine learning and its application in data mining and computer vision.
He is looking for 2019 summer internship regarding machine learning in the U.S. If you have any positions available, please contact him!
