Yash Oza

I am currently an Applied Scientist at Amazon Robotics.

Before joining Amazon, I was a graduate (M.S. by Research) student in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Dr. Maxim Likhachev. My research focused on developing motion planning algorithms for robots operating in complex environments. In the past, I have developed algorithms for manipulators, humanoid-like robots, and self-driving cars. Details of my projects can be found on the Projects tab. Some of my work has also been covered by the media (here, here).

Before moving to the US, I lived in Chennai, India, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University.

Outside of work, I enjoy backpacking, biking, and playing tennis.

A copy of my resume can be found here (a longer CV is here). My email is yash508oza@gmail.com. I can be found @yash508oza on LinkedIn and GitHub
