In the previous section we asked "Does Narconon
work?". This section considers an even more fundamental question: can
Narconon work? The medical validity of Narconon's theories has been heavily
criticised over the years by a variety of sources, with many of its views
dismissed as being somewhere between pseudoscience and simple quackery. To
answer this question properly, we need to dig a little deeper into the medical
and scientific claims made by Narconon, and ask whether its originator, L.
Ron Hubbard, was at all qualified to be dealing with drug rehabilitation.

- L. Ron Hubbard and
Medicine

profoundly ignorant of basic medical facts.
