Discussion

On Wednesday, February 5, two teams will briefly present their initial designs for class critique and discussion. Volunteers for this presentation will be solicited during the previous class period. Note that each team will be responsible for at least one such presentation over the course of the first four assignments, and that each team member must present once during the class on assignments or the team project.

This presentation/discussion will not be graded. It is solely for the benefit of you and your classmates. You will have a total of 15 minutes for the discussion: about 6 minutes for actual presentation and 9 minutes for questions. See the note in the syllabus for hints about the discussion. The presentation should briefly describe the architectures, design decisions made, and trade-offs. It is useful to present a diagram of the module/computational element decomposition and the interconnection between them. You should clearly distinguish the different types of modules/computational elements and connections used, without dwelling on algorithms. You should also include a brief discussion of your problem frame diagram(s). Time limits will be strictly enforced.
