The I.L.S.A. OntologyAn ontology is a common vocabulary that lets individuals communicate with precision about some aspect of the world (domain). The individuals may be persons, computer programs, or both. It provides standard interpretations for words that might otherwise be dangerously ambiguous. It structures the domain knowledge in ways that allow it to be analyzed, making assumptions more explicit. The I.L.S.A. ontology describes the client home environment and I.L.S.A. support systems. An overview of the ontology can be found in the following powerpoint presentation: The I.L.S.A. Home Ontology: An Introduction to CHOP: the Common Home Ontology in Protege. CHOP is publicly available via email correspondance to the authors of the I.L.S.A. final report. |
