Course Summary

An advanced introduction to theory and practice of phylogenetic analysis (evolutionary tree reconstruction), with a focus on molecular evolution. Students interested in a full semester, advanced course in evolution may wish to take this in conjunction with Evolution of Regulatory Genomics. Students seeking applied phylogenetic analysis skills for a data analysis project may wish to take this as a stand alone mini.

Prequisites: 03-231 or 03-310 or Permission of Instructor

Total units: 03-327: 4.5 units / 03-727: 6 units
