Quilting
Over the last few years I've taught myself to quilt and have made several of various sizes. Lots of them have been given away without taking photos first, but I'm getting better at that. This one under construction I gave to my sister for Christmas a several years ago. It was machine pieced and quilted and was arranged much like you see in the photo - on point with a black lattice. Mao is helping me arrange the pieces in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
This quilt called "scotch on the rocks" is a 4-block, hand appliquéd wall quilt (approximately 40" x 48") depicting various medieval scenes that I made for my brother as a graduation gift for his Master of Science degree in Archaeology. I finally finished it when he was about 2 years into his Ph.D. so pretty much on schedule.
