Flaming log

(1) A log burns. Taken with the 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 at 37mm, f/4, ISO 800, 1/100s.

Light and dark

(2) The darkness of the log contrasts quite nicely with the light of the flames, I think. Taken with with the 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 at 33mm, f/4, 1/80s, ISO 800.

Reaching flame

(3) Flames reach up from the left end of the log. In the foreground you can just see the prongs of the grill holding it up. Photographed with the 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 at 29mm, f/4, 1/80s, ISO 800.

Dancing flames

(4) One flame draws his partner to the dance floor. For this image, I switched to the 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5, and shot this at 158mm, f/3.5, 1/125s, ISO 800. T'was cropped and downsized 50%.

Bright silk

(5) Shining ribbons of light sway in the darkness, shifting forms at every moment. Again using the 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5, this time at 147mm, f/3.5, 1/160s, ISO 800, and cropping before 50% reduction.
