Warning Technology Commericalization: The Entrepreneurial Pathway

Abstract Frank Demmler will present one path that an aspiring entrepreneur might take, citing specific steps and organizations. Jack Roseman will provide an overview of the Entrepreneurship Center and its continuing education programs. Both speakers will touch upon issues such as: what makes an idea a good business opportunity, imporatnce of market research, importance of the managemen team, where to look for money, etc. The speakers will keep their prepared remarks short so that they can interact with the audience and respond to their specific questions.
Speaker Biographies Jack Roseman is associate director of the Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurship and the Jones Distinguished Adjunct Professor, Graduate School of Industrial Administration, CMU. He is head of the Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program. He is a contributing columnist on entrepreneurial management for T.E.Q., a monthly publication of the Pittsburgh High Technology Council. Mr. Roseman received his B.A. in Mathematics in 1954 from Boston Univ. and his M.A. in Mathematics in 1955 from U. Mass.
