Abstract
Thinking about starting a business, but overwhelmed by what appears to be an impossible task? Fear not. Between the resources available through the Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurship at GSIA and The Enterprise Corporation of Pittsburgh, we can take the mystery out of the process and introduce you to the regional assets available to help you.

Frank Demmler will present one path that an aspiring entrepreneur might take, citing specific steps and organizations. Jack Roseman will provide an overview of the Entrepreneurship Center and its continuing education programs.

Both speakers will touch upon issues such as: what makes an idea a good business opportunity, imporatnce of market research, importance of the managemen team, where to look for money, etc. The speakers will keep their prepared remarks short so that they can interact with the audience and respond to their specific questions.
