CMU Science Fiction & Fantasy Society

Distributed Virtual Library

One of the activities proposed for the CMU Science Fiction & Fantasy Society is to organize a Distributed Virtual Library.

what's a DVL?

The idea behind a Distributed Virtual Library is that a bunch of us have fair-sized collections of books here in Pittsburgh, and are willing to lend some of these books to friends who are known to be reasonable about, like, returning them and not letting dogs nibble them and things.

If you are interested in participating, make up a web page listing the books you have available. (If you like, you can include commentary.) Email me the URL and I will add it to this page.

DVL Branches

Each branch retains ownership and custody of its collection of booklike items, and the web page(s) listing them, and reserves the right to lend or not lend its collection at its whim.

If you attend one of our meetings (currently 6 PM On The Second Tuesday Of The Month, in Kirr Commons), you can check out items from any Human Bookmobiles that happen to show up.
