1996/8/12 21:00 pm -- 8/13 4:30am, Nantong (near Shanghai, UT+8) 46 meteors. Just for fun, I recorded the starting and ending position of each meteor (this is not required in serious observation), and reconstructed the following picture. The blue lines are meteors, red lines are constellations. The radiation is quite obvious. My attempt to photograph this shower failed completely. The equipments were correct: 50mm SLR, Kodak 400 film, tripod, cable release. The result: each and every photo was washed out, the sky were grey with only the brightest stars. The lesson: with a quarter moon, don't attempt to make long exposures.
