Final Project Deliverables
Pre-Proposal
Students should schedule a meeting with the instructors in the 3rd/4th week of class to discuss project ideas.
Proposal
The proposal should be 2 pages long, following the USENIX format: https://www.usenix.org/conferences/author-resources/paper-templates. Each proposal should include 3 sections:
- Introduction: describe the problem you are tackling, the context for the problem, and why you think it's an important problem. You should also describe relevant prior work in a subsection.
- Technical approach: describe your approach to solving this problem, and why your approach is likely to be successful. Put preliminary work here if you have any.
- Evaluation plan: describe how you plan to evaluate your approach, with explicit metrics, as well as performance and benchmarks to run.
Due date: TBD, to be submitted via email to the instructors.
Checkpoint
Schedule a 30 minute meeting with the instructors to discuss the project's progress

Final presentation
Present a poster during class poster session
Due date: TBD
Final report
Final report should follow the same USENIX format as the proposal. It should be 6 pages long and should include introduction, design, evaluation, and related work.
