Pradeep Sindhu, vice chairman, CTO and founder of Juniper Networks, joined Carnegie Mellon University President Jared L. Cohon and School of Computer Science Dean Randy Bryant at a Sept. 9 ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Gates and Hillman centers machine room. They celebrated the deployment of the Juniper networking system that serves Gates and Hillman. The system provides high-bandwidth connectivity throughout the buildings at a lower cost, using less power and occupying less space than competing systems. Sindhu earned both a master's and a PhD in computer science at Carnegie Mellon.
