Dragan Selected for Intel PhD Fellowship

Anca Dragan

Anca Dragan, a Ph.D student in the Robotics Institute since 2009, is one of 15 U.S. students chosen for the 2013-2014 Intel PhD Fellowship Program. Another Carnegie Mellon University doctoral  student, Yoongu Kim of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, also was selected.

Dragan is a member of the Personal Robotics Laboratory led by Sidd Srinivasa, associate professor of robotics. The fellowship, which includes a year’s tuition, a stipend and a travel grant, will support Dragan’s research, “Enabling Physical Systems to Collaborate with their Users.” Fellows also have an Intel technical mentor and will attend a Ph.D. Fellowship Forum on the Intel campus during the summer.
