Discussion

We should note that our current heuristics are relatively simple and not optimal. In addition, these heuristics are not used in the implementation we measure in Section 7. However, we do report a game-play trace evaluation of object placement (Section 7.5) to demonstrate that object placement based on interest inference is a useful general purpose mechanism for games and similar applications. Moreover, any object placement scheme can be ``plugged into'' Colyseus since the object manager functions properly regardless of the location of objects in the system; object migration is an optimization.
