He will not be financially interested in the bids as or of a
contractor on competitive work for which he is employed as an engineer
unless he has the consent of his client or employer.

- Code is relevant when:
- Engineer has a client
AND
Engineer is involved in engineering work for the client
- Code is violated when:
- Engineer has a financial interest in competitive bids by contractors for the engineering work
AND
Engineer does not have consent of the client for his financial interest in the competitive bid
- Code is not violated when:
- Engineer does not have a financial interest in competitive bids by contractors for the engineering work

Engineer has the consent of the client for his financial interest in the competitive bid
