He will take a professional attitude in negotiations for his services
and shall avoid all practices which have a tendency to affect adversely
the amount, quality, or disinterested nature of professional services;
such as charging inadequate fees for preliminary work or full services,
competing for an engineering assignment on a price basis, spending large
amounts of money in securing business or consenting to furnishing
monetary guarantees of cost estimates.

- Code is violated when:
- Engineer does not take a professional attitude in the negotiations

Engineer takes an approach that would have a tendency to reduce the amount and quality of his services
OR
Engineer charges inadequate fees for preliminary work or full services
OR
Engineer competes for work on a price basis
OR
Engineer spends large amounts of money to secure business
OR
Engineer consents to furnish monetary guarantees of cost estimates
- Code is not violated when:
- Engineer takes a professional attitude in the negotiations
AND
Engineer does not take an approach that would have a tendency to reduce the amount and quality of his services
AND
Engineer charges adequate fees for preliminary work or full services
AND
Engineer does not compete for work on a price basis
AND
Engineer does not spend large amounts of money to secure business
AND
Engineer does not consent to furnish monetary guarantees of cost estimates
