Engineers shall disclose all known or potential conflicts of interest
to their employers or clients by promptly informing them of any business
association, interest, or other circumstances which could influence or
appear to influence their judgment or the quality of their services.
II.4.a. Part 1
- Code is relevant when:
- Engineer has an employer
AND
Engineer has a known conflict of interest
- Code is violated when:
- Engineer does not promptly inform the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could influence their judgment or the quality of his services
OR
Engineer does not promptly inform the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could appear to influence their judgment or the quality of his services
- Code is not violated when:
- Engineer promptly informs the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could influence their judgment or the quality of his services
AND
Engineer promptly informs the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could appear to influence his judgment or the quality of his services

- Code is relevant when:
- Engineer has an employer
AND
Engineer has a potential conflict of interest
- Code is violated when:
- Engineer does not promptly inform the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could influence his judgment or the quality of his services
OR
Engineer does not promptly inform the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could appear to influence his judgment or the quality of his services
- Code is not violated when:
- Engineer promptly informs the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could influence his judgment or the quality of his services
AND
Engineer promptly informs the employer of association, interest or other circumstances which could appear to influence his judgment or the quality of his services

- Code is relevant when:
- Engineer has a client
AND
Engineer has a known conflict of interest
- Code is violated when:
- Engineer does not promptly inform the client of association, interest or other circumstances which could influence his judgment or the quality of his services
OR
Engineer does not promptly inform the client of association, interest or other circumstances which could appear to influence his judgment or the quality of his services
- Code is not violated when:
- Engineer promptly informs the client of association, interest or other circumstances which could influence his judgment or the quality of his services
AND
Engineer promptly informs the client of association, interest or other circumstances which could appear to influence his judgment or the quality of his services

- Code is relevant when:
- Engineer has a client
AND
