Engineers shall not accept compensation, financial or otherwise, from more than one party for services on the same project, or for services pertaining to the same project, unless the circumstances are fully disclosed to, and agreed to by, all interested parties.

II.4.b. Part 1

Code is relevant when:
Engineer accepts compensation from Party 1 for services on a project
AND
Engineer accepts compensation from Party 2 for services on the same project.
Code is violated when:
Engineer does not fully disclose the circumstances to all interested parties
OR
All interested parties do not consent to the circumstances
Code is not violated when:
Engineer fully discloses the circumstances to all interested parties
AND
All interested parties consent to the circumstances

II.4.b. Part 2

Code is relevant when:
Engineer accepts compensation from Party 1 for services on a project
AND
Engineer accepts compensation from Party 2 for services pertaining to the same project.
Code is violated when:
Engineer does not fully disclose the circumstances to all interested parties
OR
Party 1 and Party 2 do not consent to the circumstances
Code is not violated when:
Engineer fully discloses the circumstances to all interested parties
AND
Party 1 and Party 2 consent to the circumstances
