II.5.a.

Engineers shall not falsify or permit misrepresentation of their, or their associates', academic or professional qualifications. They shall not misrepresent or exaggerate their degree of responsibility in or for the subject matter of prior assignments. Brochures or other presentations incident to the solicitation of employment shall not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning employers, employees, associates, joint venturers, or past accomplishments with the intent and purpose of enhancing their qualifications and their work.

II.5.a. Part 1

Code is relevant when:
Engineer represents his own professional qualifications.
Code is violated when:
Engineer falsifies his professional qualifications
OR
Engineer misrepresents his professional qualifications.
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not falsify his professional qualifications
AND
Engineer doe not misrepresent his professional qualifications.

II.5.a. Part 2

Code is relevant when:
Engineer represents his own academic qualifications.
Code is violated when:
Engineer falsifies his academic qualifications
OR
Engineer misrepresents his academic qualifications.
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not falsify his academic qualifications
AND
Engineer does not misrepresent his academic qualifications.

II.5.a. Part 3

Code is relevant when:
Engineer represents an associate's professional qualifications.
Code is violated when:
Engineer falsifies an associate's professional qualifications
OR
Engineer misrepresents an associate's professional qualifications.
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not falsify an associate's professional qualifications
AND
Engineer does not misrepresent an associate's professional qualifications.

II.5.a. Part 4

Code is relevant when:
Engineer represents an associate's academic qualifications.
Code is violated when:
Engineer falsifies an associate's academic qualifications
OR
Engineer misrepresents an associate's academic qualifications.
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not falsify an associate's academic qualifications
AND
Engineer does not misrepresent an associate's academic qualifications.

II.5.a. Part 5

Code is relevant when:
Engineer represents his degree of responsibility for prior assignments.
Code is violated when:
Engineer misrepresents his degree of responsibility for prior assignments
OR
Engineer exaggerates his degree of responsibility for prior assignments.
Code is not violated when:
Engineer does not misrepresent his degree of responsibility for prior assignments
AND
Engineer does not exaggerate his degree of responsibility for prior assignments.

II.5.a. Part 6

Code is relevant when:
Engineer distributes a brochure to solicit employment
Code is violated when:
( The Engineer's brochure misrepresents pertinent facts concerning employers
OR
The Engineer's brochure misrepresents pertinent facts concerning employees
OR
The Engineer's brochure misrepresents pertinent facts concerning associates
OR
The Engineer's brochure misrepresents pertinent facts concerning joint venturers
OR
The Engineer's brochure misrepresents pertinent facts concerning past accomplishments )
AND
The Engineer has the intent and purpose to enhance his qualifications and work.
Code is not violated when:
(The Engineer's brochure does not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning employers
AND
The Engineer's brochure does not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning employees
AND
The Engineer's brochure does not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning associates
AND
The Engineer's brochure does not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning joint venturers
AND
The Engineer's brochure does not misrepresent pertinent facts concerning past accomplishments)
OR
The Engineer does not have the intent and purpose to enhance his qualifications and work.
