Research Assistant: 9/92 – 8/96 Dept. of Electronic Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Participating in the project "Physics-based shape recovery techniques". Developed several more practical extended light source models and derived the new intensity equations and the reflectance maps corresponding to the new light source models. Based on the extended light source models, several shape recovery techniques which can be applied under general laboratory or factory conditions were proposed.
National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. Developed the laser range finder system for 3D object modeling and the software for analyzing range image. Participated the project of 3D Active Vision to build the vision testbed and the project of object recognition.
