From the data to a concept

The synthesis portion of our design process provided an important bridge between the findings from our user research and the prototyping process of our music player.

Our user needs research highlighted a set of key features that would need to be integrated into our design. Based on these needs, we brainstormed a large set of initial design concepts and refined them down to four concept scenarios that address the needs we found earlier in our user needs research. We then presented these concept scenarios to a focus group of seniors to solicit their feedback. Based on our prior user needs research and the feedback we received in our focus group, we were able to draw out the main themes of what the user needs are for seniors and their music players.
