Montreux - Waterfront

This is the main part of Montreux - at least for Ayden and I. We spent numerous hours just strolling the promenade, enjoying the beautiful Lake Geneva lake and people watching (or... being watched).

Chilling Out....

Ayden has attracted weird attention from random people while we were chilling out on the waterfront, some of whom even asked to have pix of him taken - with the parents sometimes....  :P

Chateau de Chillon

This historical monument is surrounded by the Alps and Lake Geneva. Strategically built on a rocky island along the antique road to Italy. The castle consists of 25 building units. The oldest part dates back to the first millennium. In the XIIIth century, Chillon was rebuilt in roman and early gothic architecture.

Glion

We went up to Glion before Desney got too busy with his conference.

Boatride (Montreux - Le Bouveret)

Ayden and I took a boat ride to Le Bouveret. See the beautiful Chateau de Chillon from the boat.

Le Bouveret

We came here for the train park but realized afterwards that the aqua parc is also here. Ayden is too young to enjoy that yet so maybe we will do that the next time we come to visit. A really small town and that's the only restaurant/pizzeria that I can find.

Swiss Vapeur Parc

Ayden and I decided to wander off to the Swiss Vapeur Parc in Le Bouveret one fine afternoon. All scaled-down trains and mini stations, castles.... what a fun place for both kids and adults!

Ayden Met Miya

Mike, Yae and Miya drove all the way from Germany to meet us in Geneva. Miya is such a beautiful girl and she seems to be really interested in Ayden. Ahhem....  ;)

 Fun Times in Geneva

It was a lot of fun exploring Geneva together. Not much time really since we have only one day to sightsee together but hey... it's quality time, right. We went for a good cheese fondue meal too but it was so good that none of us remember to take a pix of it! Oops...

Sightseeing in Geneva

Hey... We are tourists afterall...  :) The Fountain, Flower clock, Reformation Wall, Performance on Rue du Rhone and the Grand Theatre

Something Unusual...

There is this Cafe du Paris which serves one single menu item. Weird, as least, so we thought. But it was good. Good food, good company.. what more can one ask for..
