In planning our site, we first narrowed our scope of users with some constraints. We conceptualized our site as one that would be used primarily by people who have finished school and are gainfully employed, but not necessarily settled down or married yet. These people, outside the social network of academia, may wish to make new friends but not have the resources they’re used to. Also, as they are employed, they will be able to afford the nominal fees associated with our service. To better understand our target users, we investigated three primary groups: those who simply want to socialize, those who are enthusiastic about a certain type of cuisine, and those who are trying to use up some kind of bulk food. "Cooking for one is no fun."
