Winners 2024 - 30th Annual Races!
Now that was a day! The complete opposite of last year. Serious wind gusts, rain all day/night before (a mudfest!), steady drizzling throughout all 3 Heats, cold, overcast with the threat of more storms to come. We had brave contestants, rain-proofed Mobots, a dedicated audience, and the race went on - undeterred! Resilience in the face of adversity, coming up with quick solutions to surprising obstacles/problems and finding the joy in trying: the essence of Mobot.

It continues!
Wow! What a day. Temperatures in the 80's, with full sun by the start of the race. Intermittent clouds were predicted, but they clearly missed the forecast. Safely called a scorching day on the track. Almost no breeze. The white line posed challenges owing to the glaring sun. But a truly perfect day. Thanks to our racers, sunscreen, the audience for joining us, and our sponsors for (em)powering us for 29 years.

Winners 2022 - 28th Annual Races!
We're Back!
Classic Carnival: overcast skies, rain during set-up, cold becoming colder as the racing continued. But we were spared: by noon, the rain was all around the region, except in our local area/out campus. Fun mobots, surprise entries and one bot that couldn't decide whether to go forward through the gates, or back to the start :) Thanks to the audience for joining us and to our sponsors for making 28 years possible.

Rolling non-stop since 1995 - but in a home designed course
An interesting year. Hard to parse the many months of virtual Temperatures varied wherever contestants were living for vMobot (virtualMobot). The race course on campus was empty, but teams were encouraged to design a parallel course in their own dwellings - for virtual demonstration!

Physical rolling stopped temporarily. We had to leave campus. But we kept going...
A shocking and surprising year: who would have imagined a campus without our community! We chose to go back in time, running a video collection of races from beginning to now, revisting Mobot, mobots and contestants past. We kept it going, by looking back on where we started and imagining what we would have done this year. The thinking and designing continued!

An interesting day: very windy, overcast skies and the threat of rain for our 25th year! The rain started 2 minutes after the final heat. Good mobots, one mobot fire, one exploded power source...and some solid creativity. Thanks to the audience for joining us and our incredible sponsors for making 25 years pass by so seamlessly
