The Engineer will inform his client or employer of any business connections, interests, or circumstances which may be deemed as influencing his judgment or the quality of his services to his client or employer.

Code is relevant when:

Engineer has an employer

AND
Engineer has business connections, interests, or circumstances which may be deemed to influence his judgment or the quality of his services

Code is violated when:

Engineer does not inform the employer of said business connections, interests, or circumstances

Code is not violated when:

Engineer informs the employer of said business connections, interests, or circumstances
